The ETERNAL MAN has no super villains, no violence, and the sex scenes are so subdued that even our modern Queen Victorians can have no objections. The ETERNAL MAN is a cerebral tale depicting the battle against viruses. The hero, Mark Silverman, is seduced into an elaborate labyrinth of interconnected scientific disciplines and scurries around the planet in search of pieces to the virus puzzle. In the process the reader is exposed to a careful analysis of contemporary thinking on the subject.

The Author's Note;
This story was written as an entertaining treatment of one of today's most frightening subjects. Killing the thousands of different viruses inhabiting the world today is serious business. The author hopes in some small way, to be able to educate the general public to the crisis upon us. This story, although based on true medical facts, is not written to give false hope, but to stimulate an interest in the idea of many people working together to do away with a great threat to humanity.

If you take the time to go to the library and look up back issues beginning with the August 18th, 1990 issue of "Science News," you'll find these therapies of ultra-violet, (least dangerous) radiation combined with the drug being written about are already being proven to work on ARC patients - Melanoma - and some types of Leukemia at a 100 percent success rate. The important part of this book to the common man is how the only animal on the face of the earth that doesn't die after contracting the animal equivalent of aids is able to cure itself by eating natural plants that are also available at every grocery store.

Another thig being tested, to the point of approving it, mentioned in this book is the anti-cancer drug made from the bark of the Yew tree. This is also for real.The man-made version is called TAXOL. In 1992 the result of a test of 25 people with cancer was released. All 25 went into remission after taking the drug. ALL. 100 percent. And the tests have continued to show those numbers ever since. With such results, one would think that this amazing discovery would be in common use in every cancer clinic in the world. Unfortunately it is not. It is my understanding that current "regulations" prohibit the use of it until ALL OTHER FORMS of cancer inhibitors (chemotherapy, radiation, etc.) have been used and found to be ineffective. This not only adds greatly to the patient's medical expense, it unnecessarily puts the person through additional pain and discomfort and subjects them to the possibility that they die before being eligible for treatment with TAXOL. Of course, this is just my opinion, but that looks suspiciously like a criminal waste to me. There may be very logical, legal, morally and ethically defensible reason for the seeming idiocy of such a rule or regulation, but if there is, I haven't heard of it ... and I've been listening very, very hard.
Perhaps it is time for someone to begin serious investigation of the ways in which our regulators (of all types) establish the regulations which rule our lives. There's one last thing and I'll stop. That is this. This book examines the benefits of ultra-violet light as a trigger source for many ailments. Current regulations require sunscreen products, sunglasses and all other such products have the ultra violet light filtered out of them before they can be sold to us. In 1996, 17 human body cell and imune system responses were found to be triggered and activated by ultra-violet light. This book was written long before those discoveries were made.
