Don't Let Betty Lou Get Mad At You
by David Michael Jackson
Don't drink the water,
don't eat the food
if Betty Lou gets mad at you.
Check to see if you still have a car.
You know how some people are.
There's no telling what she'll do
If Betty Lou gets mad at you.
Oh you stole my Betty Lou from me.
And very soon I'm sure you'll see.
You'll be feeling sorry too
when Betty Lou gets mad at you.
Just don't let Betty Lou get mad at you.
Oh please don't tell Betty Lou I called.
You haven't talked to me at all.
The last thing I'd ever want to see
is Betty Lou mad at me.
Oh you stole my Betty Lou from me
and very soon I'm sure you'll see.
You'll be feeling sorry too
when Betty Lou gets mad at you.
Just don't let Betty Lou get mad at you.
I'm awfully sorry,
I'm awfully sorry
for this poem.
