poem “Rutherfordium, blinked out of existence”, a Twitter-length Periodic Table poem about the element #104, Rutherfordium (Rf) about how Rutherfordium, during the transfermium wars, the United States and the Soviet Union were trying to win the most element discoveries, but element 104, they argued over the name with - the U.S. wanted it for Ernest Rutherford, the king of nuclear science, and the Soviets wanted it named for Igor Kurchatov, their leader of Russian nukes, but the ironic thing is that people are fighting each other for scientific immortality with these discoveries, for finding elements that so quickly and immediately blinked out of existence, By Chicago Poet Janet Kuypers

The U.S. & Soviets battled in transfermium wars,
even to name periodic table elements. For 104,
the U.S. said, Ernest Rutherford & nuclear science;
Soviets said, Igor Kurchatov & Russian nukes.
It’s ironic they fought to win, by discovering
what quickly blinked out of existence.
