painting bridges green
I met the wino
who said he wanted work
and said he would clean up the place
for five dollars and held up
three fingers
and answering to where he lived
pointing to an old warehouse
along the river
he said he lived under there
with his kin
and said
that cats were good to eat
when you could catch them
but cats were hard to find
this year
