Dirt life death poem

Dirt is Life and death

Sometimes we are not good
did I say sometimes
we are not good
we are still amoebas feeding
ourselves
in droves
the people in the other cars are
real
and have granfathers and
thoughts
just like you
The people in the other cars are amoebas
just like you feeding their mouths and
swimming caring about themselves only
we are not so good
I am not so good
we are dirt
Our plants are growing in the
remains of their ancestors
dirt is life and death
We are fertilizer
Out of us life grows as we die
life grows and climbs up the sidewalk and
grows in the cracks and in the shadows of the sea
and in the farthest reaches of space and
time
Life from rock to dirt to rock to life.
